Google Adsense is a program where Google shares a portion of their income from advertisers to website publishers and owners who agree to post certain sites Ad link to their web pages. Adsense has become a hit to both advertisers and publishers to the extent of attracting fraudulent individuals too.

The advantages of Adsense to you as a web publisher will basically depend on your reason for starting up a website. You are basically free not to avail of Adsense’s offer. Goggle’s Adsense is basically for people who want to earn some money via the pay-per-click (PPC) scheme. PPC programs like Adsense is a hit to web publishers and webmasters whose main goal in creating their sites is to make money.

Webpage marketing or internet marketing is a very good business opportunity to anybody. Just imagine earning thousands of dollars without going to work everyday at a certain time and struggling against the daily traffic and testing your patience with your boss’s constant nagging. This is the reason why Google’s Adsense has become such a hit. Its purpose for web publishers is to earn money. PPC is a very easy way to earn money to the point that it attracts fraudsters from time to time.

Google Adsense diverts your audience attention from your content to the Ad links posted on your website. If you want to capture your visitor’s entire attention, it is good for you not to get Adsense. Remember that once you register to Adsense, Google will post links to your site that are related to or are in the same business as you. This means that the site that has posted a link on your webpage may well be your competitor. Sure you get payment from the PPC scheme but you might have passed on to your competitor a paying customer.

With these in mind, you should always consider your priorities before getting Adsense. Google Adsense is an offer to make more money. That is what they say. Nonetheless, if you think your website could make money on its own why get Adsense anyway? Plus if your main concern in publishing a site is not money but art, enjoyment or just plain sharing why bother to get Google Adsense. Prioritising is always the best solution on deciding matters regarding your website.
