It actually depends on what you are going to do with the domain name. For example I have a customer that wanted to have a website for her new crystal design in Thailand but she wanted a 3 letter domain and I explained for her that was not possible. All 3 letters domains are already bought up by domain speculates and they will not let them cheap. It is not worth it for her to invest 10 000 of dollars just to get that domain name.

But in some cases like True Internet provider in Thailand did not buy the True name is a shame. They think customer going to know that you should put in True Corp but off course they go for the name. Some smart guy get a lots of extra hits from True customers.

So if the domain name is important it all comes down to what you going to use it for. Look at the domain name “Plenty of fish” now one of internet biggest dating site. But who could think of register it 2 years ago?
