What is Google Base?
what is Google Base?
Google Base is the forum which allows posting of articles having online or offline content in order to make that item eligible for Google searches. Thus items submitted by individuals in Google Base can be included easily in Google Product Search or Google web search to benefit other clients. It is a free service which enables the users to attach a maximum of about 15 digital files in various formats like Microsoft Excel or .xls, PDF or .pdf, Text or .txt, Rich Text Format or .rtf, HTML or .html, Word Perfect or .wpd, Unicode, ASCII, and XML. These file formats which are to be uploaded should not exceed over twenty megabytes in size and will be subjected to reviewing by Google before final postings on the search engines.
What sets Google Base apart from the other search modes available on the internet is the facility offered to the users to provide specific characteristics accompanying their product which would enable quicker search results in Google Base or Google Product Search. The facility of offering offline contents to be made available online greatly benefits users by giving them a variety of articles to choose from addressing their needs as a result of the option of providing attributes to their products. It should be remembered here that it is extremely necessary for users to possess a Google Account in order to publish materials in Google Base. It is mandatory. It is not necessary for one to possess a separate web address to submit one’s article. In the absence of an exclusive web address, Google will undertake the responsibility of publishing it through a different web address. All submissions can be based on any topic and there are no limitations imposed as all articles are subjected to final reviewing by Google according to its own terms and conditions.
