Google recently launched their new secure online payment solution, similar to PayPal, called Google Checkoutâ„¢ – which works in almost the same way PayPal works.

Google Checkout allows you to quickly and easily acquire items from stores across the web while tracking all orders and shipping in one location. Google Checkout is a checkout process that allows sellers to integrate with their website, which will enable customers to buy from them quickly, securely and conveniently, using a single username and password.

Once the customer buys, the sellers can use Checkout to charge their credit cards, process the orders, and receive payment in their bank account.

Online merchants have two objectives: earn more, spend less. Google Checkout provides them with another way to manage transactions that will help them achieve both.

Checkout works with Google’s AdWords, a proprietary search advertising program, to help increase sales and lessen expenses throughout the process of online selling and marketing.

The typical online shopper starts with a Google search to locate the item he has in mind. Google AdWords helps them find a merchant using targeted text ads that show up beside Google search engine results. The more sellers promote their businesses through AdWords, the more they will save on transaction processing fees with Google Checkout.

Google Checkout also provides free transaction processing each month; in the event a seller exceeds their monthly free transaction processing limit or if they don’t use AdWords at all, Google will charge 2% plus $0.20 per transaction.

Google Checkout merchants will also be provided with extra protection that will help them sell their products or services with complete confidence.
Checkout will proactively identify and filter out dishonest transactions and, under their Chargeback Resolution policy, Google will evaluate all chargebacks they receive and will fight them on behalf of the merchants whenever possible.

A Payment Guarantee policy also provides further protection: if a seller gets a chargeback on a valid or qualified transaction, all they need to do is provide Google with all requested documentation and information within 10 days of the request – Google will reimburse the merchant within a week.
